The UW women ran into a buzz saw on Thursday night (1/19/12) as the California Bears shot over 51% from the floor to take down the Dawgs 71-47 in Berkeley. Reginia Rogers and Jazmine Davis led the Huskies with 13 and 12 points respectively, but a cold 31% shooting performance from the field, along with 19 turnovers also contributed to the loss. It was off to Palo Alton on Saturday (1/21/12), where UW has not won in their previous twelve tries. Make that thirteen, as the 4th-ranked Stanford Cardinal had too much fire power and ran away from the Huskies in the 2nd half in route to posting a 65-47 win. The Dawgs, now 10-7 (2-5 in conference play) on the season, return home this week with games against Arizona on Thursday at 7PM and a Saturday afternoon match up with Arizona State at 2PM.
